Falcons super defender Glory Ogbonna has revealed the team is not underestimating the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon as they know winning her won’t be easy but they are determined and ready to face her on Thursday.
They are a very good team and champions of African women’s football in their own right,” Ogbonna told NAN.
The nine-time AFCON winner will face the Indomitable Lioness of Cameron in Thursday’s AFCON 2022 quarterfinals. Knowing that most African countries are out to snatch the title from the Super Falcons giants, they are cautious yet well-prepared to bring the title home as their main goal is not just to win the AFCON trophy win, but also to qualify for the World Cup
The center-back also explained that the team’s goal is not only to qualify for the World Cup but also to retain the Africa Women’s Cup.
