On Thursday, it was announced by WWE that the death of WWE hero Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea occurred at 71 years old. As per the information given, Hogan ran into a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater Beach residence and was declared dead at Morton Plant Hospital.
He was one of the characters who were the most influential in the birth of professional wrestling, and thus was the main reason for his fame in the 1980s when he basically worked the transition from McMahon’s WWF to a world brand. Using the comic book themed red-yellow outfit, catch ring of “Whatcha gonna do?” and the charm of Hogan’s singing were the icons of professional wrestling for a whole generation.
His greatest and most unforgettable fight was at WrestleMania III 1987, in which he was powerfully able to body-slam Andre the Giant. After the WCW period, he took on the new character of “Hollywood Hogan” and together with the New World Order (NWO) he created the wrestling industry revolution with the help of the storyline.
Hogan was a face on films like Mr. Nanny and Thunder in Paradise and the reality show Hogan Knows Best featured him. His career was full of problems like a sex tape lawsuit and some racial comments which made WWE eventually decide to suspend the cooperation for some time.
However, the point of view of wrestling that he took with him into the future remains very strong and influential today. The family that she left behind includes the wife, Sky Daily, and the two kids.
