Nollywood veteran Yinka Quadri is enjoying a special moment of happiness as he welcomes a new granddaughter while also launching his latest movie.
The seasoned Yoruba actor shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting videos and photos with his daughter, Juwon, and the newborn.

“Double celebrations. My joy is full and my good news is making me happy. Joy is overflowing,” Quadri wrote, reflecting on the rare coincidence of two major milestones occurring on the same day.
His new film, Orukawura, premiered on YouTube through YINKA QUADRI TV at 2pm, coinciding with his daughter giving birth. “Orukawura will be showing today via YINKA QUADRI TV on YouTube from 2pm. Also, my daughter Juwon gave birth to a bouncing baby girl today. A joyful moment,” he shared.
Quadri’s career began in 1976 when he co-founded the Afopina Theatre Group alongside Taiwo Olayinka and others. Since then, he has become one of the most respected figures in the Yoruba film sector, making his TV debut in Agbodorogun and starring in notable projects like Gangs of Lagos, Move Like a Boss, Okinni, The Return of Jenifa, Owo Blow, and 77 Bullets.
Even after decades in the industry, Quadri continues to be a household name. In 2024, he spoke about the stress caused by false reports of his death, which particularly affected his children living overseas, highlighting his deep connection with family.
