Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has recounted her difficult battle with cancer, revealing how her faith in God played a significant role in her healing journey.
Speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, the actress explained that the diagnosis came as a huge shock and that doctors had warned her about the possible long-term effects of the treatment.
“I was told I had cancer and that further tests would be carried out to check how far it had spread. The doctors also said I wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications I’d have to take, as they could affect the baby. Hearing that at 38 years old was devastating. I couldn’t imagine waiting that long,” she recalled.
Despite the grim prognosis, Temitope said she chose to lean on her faith while undergoing medical care. “But I rejected the report and held on to my faith in God. I began the journey with prayer and fasting, combining both the medical and the spiritual. When I did a CT scan, it came out negative; the cancer hadn’t spread. Eventually, they performed a second surgery to remove the remaining tumour,” she added.
The actress expressed gratitude for overcoming the life-threatening illness and credited both medical intervention and divine help for her recovery.
