Graham Potter, Chelsea’s manager has said that the club does miss N’golo Kante on the team, but he wants him to fully recover before bringing him back to the team.
If we can recall, Reports were out that Ngolo Kante who sustained a hamstring injury in Chelsea’s 2-2 draws against Tottenham in August, has returned to training with his fellow teammates. Many fans expected that he has fully recovered and be back in action for his team, but it seems the French Midfielder needs more time.
Graham speaking on this, said that they are trying their best to see that Kante fully recovers, so that he can be back in action for his club, due to several injuries he has suffered before, they want to make sure that he is fully recovered this time around.
He also added that they don’t want to be selfish, and endanger the player. They want to be sure that when he’s back, he is in the very best of shape and safe to enjoy football.
Potter said, “It is what it is. There’s nothing we can do, the injury happened and now it’s about trying to get him back fit and get him ready as we can so he can sustain a period of play. He’s been a bit in and out with injuries over a while, so we have to make sure when he’s back, he’s back for good. Strong and enjoying his football. There’s no frustration, just something we have to deal with.
“The welfare of the player is important, I don’t want to take a risk with that. I understand you have to take some decisions but from my perspective, I want to make sure a player is safe, ready, and ready to play consistently over some time. That’s the best way to build a relationship with them and to get them back stronger, enjoying their football.”
N’golo Kante does not have much time left with Chelsea, as his contract at Stamford Bridge will soon expire, so many football experts have advised Chelsea to sell the player, considering that he is a big shot, his sale will be a huge financial blessing to the club.
