American singer Chris Brown has cautioned fans and critics against comparing him with other artists, emphasizing that his journey in the music industry has been largely self-driven.
Taking to his Instagram page, the Under The Influence crooner expressed frustration over ongoing comparisons and challenged the criteria being used to measure him against his peers.
“I wish y’all stop comparing me to other artists and saying me vs someone else,” he wrote. “Until one of these artists do all the sh*t by themselves with no help and the media constantly f**king with them, then come holla at me.”
Chris Brown further noted that his focus remains on maintaining a career and making a living, pointing out that he’s stayed consistent for two decades. “I do this sh*t to feed my kids and family,” he added.
Over the years, Brown has been repeatedly compared to legends like Michael Jackson and Usher, particularly for his vocal talent and dance performances. He has also been likened to artists such as T-Pain, Trey Songz, Mario, Akon, and Nelly—comparisons he now appears eager to shut down.
