A woman who went viral after being caught on a kiss cam with her married boss at a Coldplay concert in the United States has spoken publicly for the first time, calling the incident a one-off mistake influenced by alcohol.
Kristin Cabot, a former human resources executive, was captured on camera sharing an intimate moment with her boss, Andy Byron, then the CEO of Astronomer, during Coldplay’s concert in Boston on July 16.
The pair appeared on the venue’s giant screen, prompting them to quickly separate and attempt to shield their faces.
The awkward moment gained widespread attention after Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly commented on what was unfolding, helping the clip spread rapidly across social media.

In an interview with the New York Times months after the incident, Cabot insisted there was no ongoing affair between herself and Byron.
“I made a bad decision after a few drinks and acted inappropriately with my boss,” she said, noting that she has accepted full responsibility for the episode and lost her job in the aftermath.
She described the kiss as the first and only one between them, calling it a “cliché mistake” that happened after a few tequila cocktails.
Cabot also revealed that the viral video exposed her to severe online abuse, including mockery, harassment, and death threats, adding that the fallout has been deeply distressing.
