According to reports, the chock-full supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, have booed the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, the venue of the inauguration ceremony for the new governor of the state.
It was said that immediately after the monarch arrived at the venue, the furious crowd started screaming their disapproval at the top of their voices.
Similarly, the same treatment was meted out to the emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, who is the younger brother of the Kano Emir.
However, security operatives immediately moved in and chaperoned the first-class monarchs to their seats.
