Veteran Nollywood actor Don Richard has made an emotional appeal to the public for financial assistance as he continues to battle a severe kidney ailment.

His heartfelt cry for help was shared on Tuesday evening through a video posted on Instagram by actress and Talk to B host, Biola Bayo.

In the video, Don Richard spoke openly about the strain his illness has placed on both his health and his family, revealing the emotional moment he informed his wife of his diagnosis.

“When my wife was told about my health, she started crying. And I told her that ‘another man is a lucky man.’ I begged her to take good care of my children (twins),” he said, visibly emotional.

He also revealed that his family had already depleted their savings in a desperate attempt to cover the cost of his treatment.

“Immediately she left the hospital, she went to dispose of our house and car for my treatment. I have nothing left anymore,” he added.

Biola Bayo, who shared the video along with his bank details for donations, wrote:

“Don Richard has been down with a kidney in a while.”

Since the video surfaced, a wave of support has poured in from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have urged the public to rally around the actor in his time of need.
