As we all know, the world cup is upon us already. Danny Murphy has said that England Players have enough confidence for the world cup games in Qatar, which is to hold on November 20 and December 18 this year.
Gareth Southgate, the manager of the England national team has recorded some great performances from his team since he took up the job in 2016, as they finished fourth in the 2018 world cup games.
According to Murphy, Gareth will organize a preseason match to warm up the players for the tournament. And also Gareth is no stranger to the team, as he had played for the team before, both as a defender and a Midfielder. He is confident that the English players will be ready for the world cup.
“Usually before a World Cup, managers almost need a mini preseason to get them back up to speed.
“Another advantage for England is that Gareth has been in the club for a long time. The players know his philosophy.
“They know what he expects,they know their roles, give or take the odd tweak in shape or system.
“Some other managers won’t have that luxury. England’s stars will be ready to play.”
