Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has added another remarkable achievement to her name, as Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially recognized her for creating the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
Sharing the milestone on its official X account, Guinness World Records stated: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
The historic feat was accomplished on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the ‘Gino World Jollof Festival’ with Hilda Baci.
The event drew thousands of attendees and sparked a wave of excitement across social media.
Baci, who first gained international attention in 2023 for setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has further cemented her reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading culinary talents.
The festival also attracted a star-studded audience, including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, all of whom celebrated Baci’s incredible achievement.
