Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has shared her opinion on the fatal road accident in Ogun State that claimed the lives of two of Anthony Joshua’s close friends and nearly endangered the boxing star himself.
In a video statement, Anjorin questioned the decision of Joshua’s mother to allow him to travel to his hometown during the festive season instead of keeping him in safer areas.
She suggested that the former world heavyweight champion should have stayed in more secure neighborhoods such as Lekki or Ikoyi.

Anjorin said, “Anthony Joshua’s mother is to blame. She didn’t put her son in a better place like Lekki or Ikoyi; she watched him go back to his village for the festivities. What reasonable mother would watch her son go back to that kind of place? Why couldn’t she put him somewhere like Ikoyi or Banana Island?”
The tragic accident in Ogun State took the lives of two of Joshua’s friends, sparking widespread discussion about safety and travel precautions.
Anjorin’s remarks have since stirred debate on social media, with many Nigerians expressing differing views on her comments.
