The misleading clip, amplifying tensions on the eve of a significant pro-Palestinian march coinciding with World War One’s anniversary, has drawn attention from law enforcement. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has labeled the march as ‘provocative,’ raising concerns about potential clashes, especially with far-right groups expressing intentions to protect the Cenotaph war memorial on Armistice Day.
A spokesperson for Mayor Khan stated, ‘The Met and their counter-terror experts are actively investigating this fake video circulated and amplified by far-right groups on social media.’ The upcoming pro-Palestinian march has also ignited a political dispute, with Interior Minister Suella Braverman criticizing the police’s handling in a published article.”
