It has been reported that a group of persons has killed a member of a vigilante group in Abuja on Saturday, 4th of June, 2022.
An eye witness reported that the members of the vigilante group protecting a Timber market at the Federal Housing Estate in Abuja had wanted to make some arrest of wandering residents in the early hours of Saturday. It was said that the residents had begged the group to spare them and let them go in the name of Allah their God but one of the members of the group who was later killed had ignored their pleas. He however kicked and made statements which they deemed to be blasphemous against their God.
The eye witness reported that the member of the vigilante group had then been beaten, stoned to death and set ablazed by the angry mob.
