Moonbin, a K-pop star and a member of the boy band Astro, has died, according to reports from his music label on Thursday, April 20.
According to a police spokesperson, the 25-year-old singer was found dead at his home in southern Seoul on Wednesday night, but there had not been any evidence of foul play.
Meanwhile, Moonbin’s label Fantagio Music released a statement on Thursday, April 20 confirming the star’s death but had not disclosed the cause.
The label’s announcement had elicited thousands of comments from grieving fans, with many expressing disbelief.
Moonbin had joined Fantagio’s trainee program at a very early age and was an actor and child model before debuting with Astro in February 2016.
