Nelly planned a sweet surprise baby shower for his pregnant wife Ashanti as they get ready for their first child. When they arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana baby boutique in New York City, Ashanti was greeted by her friends and family yelling “surprise.”
Ashanti, thinking she was going to a photoshoot, shared her surprise and thanks on Instagram yesterday, July 1st.
The couple, who announced their pregnancy and engagement in April, have actually been celebrating for a while.
They secretly married in December 2023 in St. Louis County. Nelly, already a father of four, talked about how their time apart helped them understand each other better on the Boss Moves with Rasheeda show.
Ashanti is excited about becoming a mom and shared her happiness with Essence in April. She feels blessed and looks forward to this new chapter with her family, fiancé, and fans.
