Nigerian gospel singer, Ajayi Aduke Morounkola alias Aduke Gold is dead. It was posted by her colleague Esther Igbekele on Facebook who referred to her as a ‘fallen general’.
Born the 11th child of her parents, Aduke Gold was raised in both Ogba and Badagry in Lagos. She became a professional music artist in 2004 and rose to fame in a very short time. Her first major performance was at the first anniversary celebration of the death of the legendary gospel singer, Baba Are. More so, her song “Nitori Ogo” released in 2021 put her more on the map of gospel musicians.
She schooled in Lagos State University where she received degrees in history and international studies, and in the UK, she earned another degree in child psychology.
The cause of death is still to be determined.
