Submissions from Nigerian artists for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been made public.
According to Grammy monitoring platform The Grammy Guru, several Nigerian musicians have submitted songs and projects for consideration ahead of the 2026 Grammy nominations.
Leading the submissions is Wizkid, who submitted his album Morayo for Album of the Year and Best Global Album.
The Starboy boss also entered Piece of My Heart for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best African Music Performance.
His self-directed track Kese (Dance) was submitted in the Best Music Video category, while his collaboration with Olamide and Darkoo, Billionaires Club, was entered for Best African Music Performance.
Burna Boy submitted his album No Sign of Weakness for both Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His song Love was entered for Best African Music Performance, and his collaboration with French artist Joé Dwèt Filé, Kampé III, was submitted for Best Global Music Performance.
Ayra Starr also made submissions, entering Hot Body for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as her collaboration with Wizkid, Gimme Dat, for Best African Music Performance and Best Music Video.
The Recording Academy will vote on all submissions to determine the official nominees, which will be announced in November 2025.
In related news, Nigerian singer Davido has recently joined the Recording Academy as a voting member.
