Nigerian youths have appealed to the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, to urge the federal government to reconsider the presidential election results.
The youths who had admitted that were not satisfied with the result of the polls had stormed the ECOWAS headquarters in Abuja, on Tuesday, March 29 to hand over their protest letter to the African regional body.
The youths under the association of the Free Nigeria Movement had demanded the international community, particularly ECOWAS, to urge the Nigerian government to reconsider the controversies surrounding the February 25 election.
Meanwhile, the ECOWAS Director of Administration and General Services, who received the protest letter had praised the youths for peacefully conducting themselves, additionally pledging to forward the letter to the appropriate quarters for decisive action.
