Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up about her past relationships, revealing that she has never been with a man who was wealthier than she is.
Speaking on a recent podcast, the Nollywood star admitted that she has “dated down” multiple times but has now decided not to repeat such experiences.
“I’ve never dated someone who has more money than I do. I’ve dated down three times, and I’m not doing that anymore,” she said. The actress added that her stance isn’t about materialism but about recognizing the value of financial independence.
Her remarks follow her separation from her younger lover, Xxssive, whom she started dating in 2021. The pair, known for flaunting their romance on social media, sparked breakup rumors after unfollowing each other on Instagram. Nkechi later confirmed the split, clarifying that there was no animosity between them and that she is content with enjoying her single life.
Despite ongoing conversations around her preference for younger men, Nkechi stressed that she remains unfazed by public criticism, insisting that she is living life on her own terms.
