The Senate has endorsed the appeal of President Bola Tinubu to appoint 20 special advisers.

Tinubu’s request had been read by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday, June 6.

However, while making the request to the Senate, President Tinubu had not listed who the 20 special advisers were.

But after the letter was read Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir (APC – Sokoto East) moved the motion, approving the appointment of 20 Special Advisers.

The motion was also seconded by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda.
