Nigerian singer Skales has criticised socialite Cubana Chief Priest following a controversial statement he made about the recent killings in Jos.
The backlash began after Cubana Chief Priest shared a post on Instagram where he sympathised with victims of the attack but suggested that the violence could have been orchestrated to embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his birthday.
His remarks quickly drew criticism online, with many Nigerians describing the comment as insensitive given the loss of lives.

Reacting to the post, Skales expressed strong disapproval, calling out the socialite for focusing on political implications instead of the human tragedy.
“This guy is delusional… I can’t believe he said that,” Skales wrote. “Lives were lost and all you care about is the presidency being embarrassed. Where is your conscience?”
The singer further faulted Cubana Chief Priest’s stance, accusing him of lacking empathy in the face of a serious national crisis.
The exchange has since sparked widespread debate on social media, with users weighing in on the appropriate way public figures should respond to issues of insecurity and loss of life.
