It has been reported that there is an ongoing clash between Okada riders and traders in Dei Dei, a community in Abuja.
An eyewitness reported that the clash had started because of the death of a woman which was caused by the reckless driving of one of the okada men.
The woman who was riding with the reckless rider was thrown under a truck and was crushed to death by the truck. The traders in the area nabbed the rider and set his motorcycle ablaze.
This led to the colleagues of the motorcycle rider coming around and causing mayhem in the area. They burnt down shops of the businessmen, burnt down houses and vehicles and they had also blocked the roads and people had to take alternative routes. Although the number of casualties has not been determined, there is a fear that many would have died and also injured from this event.
The security operatives have however .arrived at the scene to bring calm to the area.
