With the latest development about the real age of the alleged donor, Mr. Ukpo Nwamini David, the truth is slowly but surely emerging.
Ever since the ex-deputy Senate President, Sen Ike Ekweremadu was arraigned together with his wife by the U.K Metropolitan police for a purported organ harvesting offense, a lot of Nigerians, both prominent and not, have criticized Ekweremadu’s participation in the alleged crime following the to-be donor, Mr. David’s confession that he wasn’t aware he was being brought to the U.K for a kidney transplant.
The to-be organ donor who was going to stand as a kidney donor for the ex-deputy senator’s ailing daughter had disclosed that he was just 15-year-old which clashed with the 21 years Ekweremadu had confessed to while processing the boy’s visa, additionally adding that he was not aware of the senator’s diabolical plans. However, a new light has been shined in the child organ harvesting case.
According to information on David’s passport data page, he was born on 12 October 2000. Additionally, an investigation on the Bank Verification Number (BVN) portal also disclosed David’s DOB as that same 12 October 2000. Also, an investigation has revealed that Mr. David’s kidney did not match that of Ms. Sonia Ekweremadu, Ike Ekweremadu’s daughter, and instead of going back to Nigeria, he went to seek pity from the U.K government to plead for asylum, regardless of the destruction to the former Deputy Senate President’s image.
Also, reports have said that Ekweremadu’s daughter newly passed out from NYSC where she served in Abuja and has been in the U.K since February 2022 and that she left Nigeria with the young man, David Ukpo.
