Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has opened up about her strong admiration for President Donald Trump, explaining that public criticism of the US leader has only strengthened her loyalty.
Speaking on Wednesday, the Trinidadian-born artiste openly described herself as Trump’s biggest supporter, saying opposition and backlash directed at the billionaire president fuel her resolve to stand by him.
Her remarks came after Trump invited her on stage following her endorsement of “Trump Accounts,” a programme designed to create trust funds for children.
“I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj said.
“And the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”
The 43-year-old rapper further stated that she refuses to watch Trump’s critics intimidate or undermine him, insisting she would continue to speak out in his defence.
“He has a lot of force behind him and God is protecting him. Amen,” she added.
