Jamaica has announced plans to import vehicles from Nigeria via the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company.
The Jamaican High Commissioner to Nigeria, Esmond Reid, stated this Monday, February 12, during a facilities visit of the IVM plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, that it is a fantastic chance for them to watch car production take place in Nigeria.
He also mentioned that it is an opportunity to discuss the commercial potential for sourcing vehicles from Nigeria.
The commissioner also indicated that he will return home to speak with his stakeholders to review the timeline and determine the discussions and engagements, as well as when they will begin the business of sourcing the vehicles.
Reid described the IVM factory as top class stressing that he would encourage Jamaicans to come and see for themselves.
