If we can recall, several reports emerged over the tension between Neymar and Mbappe, even though the two players have started the season with brilliant goals, their relationship still isn’t on track.
It has come to the notice of the media, that Neymar was upset after Mbappe failed to pass the ball to him, which would have enabled him to score a goal in their UEFA champions league game against Juventus.
Christopher Galtier, Paris saint Germain coach, has interviewed both players concerning the issues and has addressed the issue. According to him, the relationship between the two players is very okay, as they seem to be on good terms during training. He admitted that though, there was actually a slight altercation between the two, but it was just a slight misunderstanding.
He further assured the media, that Kylian Mbappe will provide assists for Neymar, just as Neymar would do too.
PSG head coach said on Friday: “The relationship is very good. That is the truth. They are often together in training.
“Yes, there is a situation in a match, but having spoken to Kylian Mbappe yesterday —— and I have also spoken to Ney —- and from the discussion with Kylian Mbappe there were two moments.
”There was the first acceleration when there was possibly a chance to pass the ball, but it was more difficult. The second time was when Kylian Mbappe got into the penalty box and did not see Ney.
“When you see the clip it looks simple, but at the time he had to make a decision. Kylian Mbappe was focused on the ball for shooting.
“I am convinced that Kylian Mbappe will get assists for Neymar, just as Neymar is capable of performing assists for Kylian Mbappe.
“There is nothing else negative about that since that piece of play in the game.”
This season, Neymar has seven goals and six assists for PSG and Mbappe has seven goals for PSG this season.
