Police to Prosecute Hoodlums in Lagos Estate Land Dispute

It was a terror for the residents of Magodo Isheri Lagos, as the residents were forced to involuntary confinement in their houses after hoodlums clashed openly in execution over a court judgment, they did an open free clash brandishing different weapons at each other, Motorists had to find alternative ways to escape from the scene.

In regards to the break of law and order, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Idowu Owohunwa has said that those involved in the clash will be arrested and that some of the hoodlums have been identified and arrests will soon be made.

He further said that the Criminal Investigation Department has taken over the issue

“My message is that those involved in this breach will be held accountable for their actions.

“The Criminal Investigation Department CID has been asked to take over the investigation.

“We have identified some of the actors and we are in the process of apprehending and bringing them to justice,’’ he said.

He also added that Arrests have not been made due to the urgency of the matter they had to restore peace and normalcy first before focusing on arrests.
