British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has spoken about his short-lived engagement to Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy.
During an appearance on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old influencer reflected on their brief relationship and explained why their engagement ended.
Taylor, who proposed to Cuppy in December 2022 after dating for less than a month, said that differences in their professional perspectives caused tension.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” he revealed, highlighting how professional disagreements affected their bond.
He added that there were no formal agreements or contracts between them, and he walked away with important life lessons.
“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!
“I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is,” Taylor said.
The engagement between DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor had captured public attention in December 2022, shortly after they met during the Gumball 3000 rally. By mid-2023, fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram, hinting that the relationship had ended.
