Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has spoken about her journey after her controversial disqualification from the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season, describing the period as one of personal and professional turbulence.
In a recent Pulse Hot Takes interview uploaded on YouTube, Tacha said that many celebrities distanced themselves from her after her exit, making it feel as though her career had ended before it truly began.
“A lot of celebrities didn’t want to associate with me after BBNaija disqualification. People concluded that it was over for me. But I was able to just pick myself back up by going back to what I know, which is making sales online, creating content, and just really trying to be a better version of the Tacha of yesterday,” she explained.
However, her account raises questions. By framing the fallout as abandonment by others, Tacha’s narrative downplays how her own behaviour in the house—marked by frequent confrontations and controversy—may have contributed to the distancing she experienced. The story of being “abandoned” oversimplifies a situation that was influenced by both personal choices and public perception.
Despite these challenges, Tacha insisted she has no regrets about her time on Big Brother Naija.
“Absolutely not. I don’t regret anything. I try to live my life without regrets because at the end of the day there’s always a lesson to be learnt,” she added.
