Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has claimed that his safety has been jeopardized following his controversial comments on same-sex relationships.
Over the weekend, TG Omori sparked heated debate when he described homosexuality as “evil.”

On X, he wrote, “Having same gender sex is evil,” a statement that quickly drew strong reactions online.
The cinematographer now says he has been receiving death threats after a magazine accused him of leveraging the controversy to sell glasses.
“This is a media house trying to set me up and risk my life by gaslighting a global community they serve to blacklist me for speaking my truth in accordance to the laws of the federal republic of Nigeria. Death threats and wishes have been sent to me day n night, threatening my safety n security as a citizen, since after this article was published by @Zikoko_Mag,” he wrote on X, quoting the magazine’s article.
