The death toll from Saturday’s bandits’ attack at Runji Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State has risen to 33.

Francis Sani, the chairman of the council made the revelation yesterday, April 16. Sani had also revealed that at least 40 houses had been set on fire by the attackers and seven individuals sustained injuries and are presently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the 33 casualties of the attack have been given a mass burial by relatives and members of the community, who gathered to attend the funeral service.

The residents have pleaded with the security agencies and the state government to urgently stop the lingering insecurity in the southern part of Kaduna before they as a community, are completely wiped out.
